April at Lockridge Furnace Museum is amazing! Tons of babies, families, photographers, and painters flock to the field of bluebells to capture nature at its finest. Six month old Blaine’s eyes were the exact color of the field of flowers and he couldn’t have been more cooperative! If you want family pictures at the bluebells, the perfect time of year is from late March to mid April. Just be careful to tread lightly and not step on the bluebells so everyone can enjoy them!

It was so much fun to work with Kacie and John on their wedding day. The bridal party was great, we took over downtown Stroudsburg for a little fun before heading to the Stroudsmoor for their reception. Kacie and John’s planning for time between the church and the reception gave everyone the opportunity to relax and unwind, and it gave us the time needed to get lots of extra fun shots.
I love when I work with my top assistant, Marco Calderon. Marco has been working with Essence for the past three seasons and each season gets better and better. He’s super talented, but what I love the most is that he makes me laugh….. all the time!
Essence Photography has a brand new look! 2014 comes with a brand new logo, new website and an improved proofing system. But underneath all the “new and improved” looks, Essence still has the same heart. One of the things that I really pride myself on is the fact that each and every event becomes an opportunity to truely bring out the best in a person. We take the time to make sure you are having a great time while being photographed.
It’s the best feeling in the world when a bridal party says how much fun they had during the picture taking moments or when a mom cries because the pictures of her newborn baby touches her heart. Time and time again first time clients turn into long time friends who trust Essence to capture the most important memories in their lives. That’s what keeps me motivated to try new things and stay current. It’s not about taking pictures…. it’s about being present to the moment, and that’s what brings so much joy into the work Essence does.
